I'm currently working as a FY2 at Leicester Royal Infirmary A&E department after having passed finals in 2006 at the University of Leicester. I completed an intercalated BSc in my 4th year at medical school before resuming the clinical years. The idea for Yoracle came to Craig and I when we realised that by sharing revision material we could spread the work load required for clinical and written exams. Many medical students seem to believe that competition is the way to succeed academically however, often this can lead to undue stress and an increased workload. This site aims to improve your exam results by cooperation rather than competition.
The idea is simple. The more revision material you have to offer, the more you will get out of it and the easier your preparation for exams will become!

I’m Craig Sheridan and I’m currently a FY2 doctor at Ipswich Hospital after graduating from Leicester Medical School in June 2006. The idea for Yoracle came about when Alex and I began revising for finals towards the end of 2005. Throughout medical school, other medics and I helped each other with revision by studying together in groups and lending each other our notes, particularly if one of us had a better understanding of a subject (invariably Alex!). Yoracle makes it easier for medics to share revision material and gain some insight into the ways other medics are revising across the country.
Make sure you make use of the other areas on this website and we encourage new ideas and ways to help us improve this service. All I ask is that you give a bit back and submit a few of your notes so that we can make this site a great free resource for current and future medics. Hi, I'm Ashley and have been heading the development of this website with Craig and Al which I hope you find useful. I have a lot of experience in website production and data manangement which I have used on Yoracle to organise the revision material in an 'easy to access' fashion.
I have known Craig and Al for a long time and know the pressures medics are under and the sheer volume of work you have to learn. I'm sure by collaborating your work it will help to make your revision a little more manageable.
